HOW TO WASH YOUR BEAUTIFUL HAIR

How much do you cherish your hair? In the beauty world today, not too many people are familiar with hairstyling techniques. They spend thousands of dollars on hair stores and salons not knowing that the best hair styling fixes can be found right in their own homes. Not using enough shampoo is the first mistake people make when they wash their hair. Or in many instances, not getting a full lather is even worse. A good remedy is sulfate-free shampoo that removes all the unwanted oil and dirt. The common problem is that people pour the shampoo on top of their heads and neglect the bottom, which unfortunately is not nearly enough to eliminate all the unwanted dirt accumulated throughout the day. Not cleaning your thorough enough can lead to dandruff.

What beauty salons never tell you is that your hair has two parts: the strands and their ends. First, clean your scalp with hot water to eliminate all the unwanted dirt on your scalp; wash your strands and ends separately with lukewarm water. If you wash in one swoop with the same temperature of water, you will end up with flat roots, oily strands, follicle clogging, and less growth.

On the same note, washing with only hot water may damage the strands, which can dry up and cause breakage. If you don’t shower daily, wash twice every other day; if you wash daily, once is enough. You should wash twice—the first time to remove the oil and buildup and a second time to clean your strands and scalp.

The best way is to start at the nape of your neck and lather towards the front, massaging your scalp in a circular motion; this way, you get rid of all the buildup, dirt, and oil that accumulates daily. After you rinse your hair, shampoo a second time and massage your head in the same circular motion; this way, you get the unwanted dirt off your strands and let your strands rejuvenate.

DO YOU WASH YOUR HAIR THE RIGHT WAY?

THINNER HAIR

It would be best if you did not wash every hair type the same. For thinner hair, use only one shampoo. After you wash and rinse well, apply conditioner only from your ears down, avoiding your scalp; for an oily texture, use spray detangler instead of conditioner. Wash three times a week with a shampoo that eliminates oil and buildup. Because shampoos of this type have chemicals that can dry and damage your hair, it is best to wash only every other day while focusing on your roots by massaging the scalp with your fingertips.

MEDIUM STRANDS

For medium thickness, wash your hair once a week. It is best to use a shampoo without sulfides and use circular motions on your scalp when massaging your hair. Wash your hair twice with warm water to open your follicles and remove the dirt trapped inside. Afterward, condition your hair from the middle towards the end for a few minutes.

THICKER HAIR

The remedy for thicker strands is shampooing at least three times a day and putting more time into cleaning your scalp. You can also use gel and spray, spend more time washing than you usually do. The downside of using too much product is this: the chemicals in products gather on your scalp and do not let your skin breathe properly, creating eczema, rashes, dandruff, and other problems.

Wash with your regular shampoo then apply a clarifying shampoo to your scalp. Massage your skin in a circular motion, and, after removing all the dirt, condition with a homemade one-part conditioner and two parts shampoo, then finish washing. Before you rinse, you can also cover with a plastic cap for 10 minutes to let the conditioner penetrate. When your 10 minutes are up, rinse with cold water to lay the cuticles down. One of the unknown secrets of the beauty world is shampoos with caffein. Unknown to many caffein shampoos help damaged hair, protects the strands from breakage and above all else revitalizes your beautiful hair.

To prevent these health issues, spend more time washing up, and after you rinse correctly, add a second coat of shampoo and repeat the process. Some experts suggest that adding conditioner to your ends goes a long way, so divide it into four sections, clean each area individually, and then rinse and go to the next section. When you wash, use circular motions and warm water. Studies show that hair grows in circles; therefore, if you use zigzagging or up and down motions when washing, you damage your strands over time.

OILY STRANDS

If you don’t have oily or dry hair, you can shampoo and condition it every 2-3 days. For oily strands, wash daily to avoid unwanted buildup. If your hair is dry or damaged, wash it every 4 to 6 days. This way, you allow the natural oils to take care of their issues. People with curly or wavy strands are encouraged to wash every four days; the shampoo will thoroughly get into every curl and clean your strands well.

CURLY AND THICK HAIR

Use conditioner for curly and thick hair after your wash it with shampoo, but don’t overdo it. Once a week is more than enough. Finally, for more delicate locks, wash it every day with a moisturizing shampoo. The key to fine hair is moisture; if you give enough humidity, it will grow healthy and strong. The best items of personal care are usually found in every local health and beauty store. And don’t forget to ask your hairdresser at your local Supercuts for some hair tips.
